1838 RESOLUTION NO. 1838.
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE A DEED FOR CERTAIN REAL ESTATE LOCATED IN THE
OAKLAND CEMETERY TRACT TO THE CONGREGATION AGUDATH ACHIM,
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS,
The City of Little Rock is the owner of the followin:- described
property, a part of the Oakland Cemetery which is not now used
by said cemetery, and not needed for City government purposes :
An unimproved plot in Oakland Cemetery, situated in the
SW+ of Section 11, Twp 1 N, Rng 12 W. Pulaski County,
Arkansas , described as follows : Beginning at a point
1663 feet East and 468 feet South of Center of said Sect.
11, this point being the NW corner of present Orthodox Jew-
ish Cemetery of Congregation Agudath Achim; thence chaning
South from above described point 392.E feet to the North
boundary of Charles Street; thence West 156 feet to a ditch
bank; thence North 41 degrees 30 minutes `:Jest along the
bank of said ditch 546 feet to the intersection of the
South boundary line of the Reform Jewish Cemetery of Con-
gregation B'Nai Israel; thence East 513.2 feet along said
South boundary line of said Reform Jewish Cemetery of
Congregation B 'Nai Israel to point of beginning; said plot
containing three acres , more or less ,
and
WHEREAS,
Said tract of land is adjacent to the Agudath Achim Cemetery Who
desires to improve said land and enlarge its cemetery,
NOW THER.h ORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARK:
SECTION 1. That the ? ayor and City Clerk are hereby author-
ized and directed to execute, acknowledge and deliver a proper
deed of conveyance to the above described property to the Congre-
gation Agudath Achim, with the restriction that said property be
used for cemetery purposes only.
SECTION 2. The consideration for said deed shall be the sum
of One Dollar (F1.00) .
