A RESOLUTION REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 1691
ADOPTED SEPTEMBER 10, 1945; MAKING WAR TIME
CIVIL SERVICE PROMOTIONS PERI AN NT, EULOGIZING
THE FORMER IIIRMBERS OF THE CIVIL SERVICE COM.M-
ISSION OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES .
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY_ COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS :
SECTION 1. That 'Resolution No. 1691 of the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas , adopted September 10, 194E' , is hereby re-
pealed in its entirety.
SECTION 2. That all appointments and/or promotions
heretofore made under and pursuant to examinations held bt- the
Civil Service Commission are hereby made permanent , and only
such persons who have not served a six months probationary per-
iod in their present positions shall be required to serve such
probationary period.
SECTION ' hat in view of the untiring efforts and
the faithful services devoted to the City of Little hock b' Dr.
R. M. Eubanks , John P . Baird , and E. R. Gamble while members of
the Civil Service Commission of the City of Little Rock, this
body expresses its profound appreciation to said men for their
unselfishness ; that the City Clerk is hereby directed to trans-
eit copies of this resolution to each of said public spirited
citizens as a token of such appreciation.
SECTION 4. All resolutions and parts of resolutions
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this resolution
adoption
shall be in full force and effect from and after itsbommemicand
approval.
