- A RESOLUTION FIXING A DATE FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON A
PETITION TO VACATE AND ABANDON THE ALLEY RUNNING EAST
• AND WEST IN BLOCK 1 OF RIFFEL AND HOLDER'S ADDITION TO
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; PROVIDING FOR THE
PUBLICATION OF NOTICES THEREOF; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed by Floyd B. Peek and Robert E.
Purkiss with the City Council of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on the 19th
day of April, 1948, asking that the City Council vacate and abandon all of the
alley in Block 1, of Riffel and Holder's Addition to the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas, beginning at the West lines of Lots 3 and 14, thence running East a
distance of 142* feet to the East lines of Lots 1 and 16, in Block 1, of Riffel
and Holder's Addition to the City of Little hock, Arkansas,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS, that the 10th day of May, 1948, be fixed as the date for the
hearing upon the petition to vacate and abandon the aforementioned alley in
Block 1, of Riffel and Holder's Addition And the City Clerk is hereby directed
to give notice of said meeting by publication once a week for two consecutive
weeks in some newspaper published in Pulaski County and having a general
circulation in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas. The notice shall state the
name of the persons who sign the petition and the description of the alley to
be vacated by designating the lots abutting thereto, and advise all persons
that on a said day therein named the Council will hear and determine whether
the alley shall be vacated.
