1775 RESOLUTION NO. 1775
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE CERTAIN INSTRUMENTS UPON PROPERTY OF TEE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK LOCATED IN FAIR PARK TO THE UNITED STATES
NAVY AND/OR STADIUM COMMISSION OF ARKANSAS.
B7 RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF ,iH CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKAN-
SAS:
SECTION 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to
execute such instruments of conveyance and/or lease acreeiLents with the
United States Navy and/or the Stadium Commission of Arkansas concern-
ing the following described property in Fair Park, to-wit :
U. S. Navy parcel in Section 6, Township 1 North, Range 12
West, in Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas, more parti-
cularlr described as follows : Starting at the SE corner,
NE4 SW:1_., Section 6, Twp 1 North, Range 12 West; thence North
20 feet to a point on the north line of Eighth Street; thence
East along the North line of Eighth Street 394 feet to the
point of beginning; thence N 20 391 East 340.5 feet to a point;
thence north 490 261 East 175.5 feet to a point on the West
edge of the public road; thence southeasterly along the edge
of said public road 301.5 feet to a point on the west edge of
Jonesboro drive; thence South along the West line of Jonesboro
drive 240 feet to a point; thence Southwesterly 98.5 feet to a
point on t'.e north edge of West Eighth Street; thence West
along the North line of Eighth Street 318.4 feet to the point
of beginning containing 3,24 acres, more or less .
SECTION 2. Such instruments as shall be executed shall contain
provisions so as to pernit the United States Navy to extend its pre-
sent building located upon said property and allow the United States
Navy to surface the balance of the area for use as a drill field, and
to allow the Stadium Commission to use such surfaced area for parking
space for the c eneral public when athletic events are in progress at
the stadium.
Such instruments shall contain no provision that the surfaced area
cannot be used by the general public when not being used as a drill
area by the United States Navy.
SECTION 3. All resolutions and/or parts of resolutions in con-
flict herewith are hereby repealed .
