1717 RESOLUTION NO. 1717
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
APPOINT A COMMITTEE TO REDRAFT THE
BUILDING CODE OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK.
WHEREAS, the present building code of the
City of Little Rock, in view of the advancements and
changes in the construction industry, has become
obsolescent, and
WHEREAS, because of the vast building pro-
gram now taking form, it has become necessary that
the present building code be modernized, revised and
brought up to date to meet and cope with the present
day conditions and circumstances, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
That the Mayor be and is hereby authorized
to appoint a coim ittee of as many and of such persons
as he deems necessary to study the present situation
and conditions of the building industry and authorize
such committee to prepare and recommend a modern, up
to date, inclusive and workable building code in the
form of an ordinance to the City Council.
