L' C2 :.-_E _ ' IC PROF-q. :1- 3 T- ,.r C-, IT"TLE ROCK T1T2CUG7 A • • et 74REA , the traffic situation in the City of Little :Zook is in an undesirable condition in that the great increase in the population of our City over a. short period of time has caused the inter-city transport^tion f=-cilities to r:reatly expand in an uncon- trolled and hap-hazard manner, and :'127 1".3, in the City of Little 'dock there are note many bus terminals or stations located in the most congested Parts of our City ,.with inadeivate facilities 'Co accommodate the general pub- lic and ithout ample facilities to load and discharge passengers without creating serious tra'fi c hazards ,, id problems, and 7 ] it 1b.,e1ng the desire of the Council to eliminate ac? conditions and to provide for greater safety and less cong estion upon our streets, 707 TIt'REFOIT2 BE IT '_?E 3CLVED BY TFE CITY COUNCIL CT T713 CI IT O LITTLE ?CCK`; ARKAH3A 3 That the Mayor and the :3 ,ecial Council Committee already appointed upon this subject be authorized and directed to contact each bus company having a station, stopping; place or terminal in this City and inform such companies that it is the desire of this Council that they jointly submit ,within 90 days from the passage of this resolution, to such special Co _ _ittee a feasible working arrant;er.lent yhereby all inter-city busses stopping in the City of Little pock would stop at a central or union bus terminal for loading and unloading of passengers and cargo. Be it further resolved that in the event no feasible working arr- ngement is jointly ,submitted by the companies involved within said period of 90 days, then the Mayor and the special Bus Terminal CorL_ittee Drepnre and formulate such plans err^no_:erents, ordinances or other matters which 3h211 bring 2n end to the traffic hazards end problems caused by our present uncontrolled , multifarious bus stations and terminals.
