1705 R E S O L U T I O N NO. 1705
A RESOLUTION AUTIORIZING CAPITAL TRANSPORTATION COMPANY
TO TEMPORARILY OPERATE MOTOR BUSSES OVER WEST SEVENTH
STREET ROU'T'E FORA PERIOD OF NINETY DAYS, •
WHEREAS, Capital Transportation Company operates
a public transportation system in the City of Little Rock
under a franchise over designated streets; and
WHEREAS, Capital Transportation Company, in
order to better serve the public, desires for a period of
ninety days to inaugurate a trial route over West Seventh
Street and other streets to serve an area in the City not
presently receiving transportation service, with the right
to withdraw from said route if its operation is not found
to be feasible.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF LI L P LE ROCK:
Section 1. As herein provided, Capital Trans-
portation Company is hereby authorized and permitted to
operate motor busses for established fares in the City of
Little Rock over public streets, as follows :
Begin at Eighth and Main Streets and proceeding
West on Eighth Street to Louisiana Street, thence
North on Louisiana Street to Seventh Street,
thence West on Seventh Street to Johnson Street,
thence South on Johnson Street to AxxxXxitxxxxik Lamar
Street, thence 'Nest on Lamar xxxxxiic. Street to
Valentine Street, thence North on Valentine Street
to Markham Street, thence West on Markham Street
to Van Buren Street, thence North on Van Buren
Street to Lee Avenue, thence West on Lee Avenue
to Tyler Street, which point shall be the terminus
of the run, returning South on Tyler Street to "C►t
Street, thence East on "C" Street to Van Buren
Street, thence on the same route as outbound from
Main Street until Seventh and Louisiana Streets is
reached, thence East on Seventh Street to Main
Street, thence South on Main Street to point of
beginning.
Section 2. The operation of the Capital Trans-
portation Company over the above designated route may
terminate at the option of the Company ninety days after
the passage of this resolution.
