A RESOLUTION CALLING FOR 2. PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PETITION OF
THE BAPTIST TABERNACLE TO CLOSE THAT PART OF THE ALTF,Y RUNNING EAST
AND WEST THROUGH THE EAST HALF OF BLOCK 6, FOREST HILL ADDITION TO
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, THE NORTH LINE n THAT PART OF SAID ALLEY
IS THE SOUTH LINE OF LOTS 1, 2 and 3 of said Block and the South
line of said alley is the North line of Lots 10, 11 and 12 of said
Block.
WHEREAS, The Baptist Tabernacle, the owner of the East Half
(Lots 1,2 and 3 facing North and Lots 10,11 and 12 facing South)
of Block 6, Forest Hill Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkan-
sas, has filed with this Council a Petition to vacate that part
of the alley lying within the East half of said Block 6, said alley
running East and West through the middle of said Block, and has
further filed the consent of all parties owning property in any
way affected or abutting that part of said alley sought to be
closed:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That pursuant to the proced-
ure set forth by Act 17 of the Acts of the General Assembly of the
State of Arkansas for the year 1945, approved Feb.6,1945, the City
Clerk shall give Notice by publication once a week for two weeks
in some news-paper published in Pulaski County, Arkansas, advising
all property owners who may be affected by the proposed vacating
or closing of said alley, that the City Council will hear the peti-
tion and determine whether said property should be abandoned as an
alley, and that the Notice shall be pub§tahtd.ally in the following
form:
"NOTICE OF A REARING ON A PETITION TO ABANDON THAT PART OF
THE ALT,FY LYING `IITHIN THE EAST HALF OF BLOCK 6, FOREST HILL ADDI*
TION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS, SAID ALLEY RUNNING EAST
AND WEST THROUGH ThE MIDDLE OF SAID BLOCK 6.
Notice is hereby given that The Baptist Tabernacle is the
owner of the East Half (Lots 1,2 and 3 facing North, and Lots 10,
11 and 12 facing South) of Block 6, Forest Kill Addition to the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas, has filed a petition that part of
the East and West alley through the middle of said Block which lies
within the East half of said Block, and that the City Council will
hear this Petition and determine whether said part of said alley
shouald be abandoned at a meeting to be held at 8 o' clock P.M. on
the 22nd day of ct. 1945, and at such meeting all property owners
who are affects by the petition, or who are directly interested
in the matter, are notified to be present , and an opportunity will
be given them to be heard.
