1614 R E S O L U T I O N N O. 1 6 1 . A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE BOARD OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS 'ID TAKE BIDS FOR THE SALE OF CERTAIN PROPERTY OWNED BY THE CITY; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO C,UIT CLAIM CERTAIN PROP ERTY IN CUNNINGHAM S ADDIT ION TO THE COIVMISSIONERS OF STREET IIv ROVEIV NT DISTRICT NO. 14"52 AND CURB AND GUTTER Ii, R.OVE1fiENT DISTRICT NO. 453; REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 1613; AND FOR OTHER PUPPOSES. WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock, Arkansas owns certain lots in Cunningham Addition, situated West of the West driveway leading from Twelfth Street into Fair Park, and certain lots in Pulaski Heights situated at Prospect Avenue and Beech Street, now occupied by Fire Station No. 7; and Whereas, it is the opinion of your Real Property Committee that the City of Little Rock does not now and will not have in the future any particular need for this property; and Whereas, the present Real Estate values are at a high level, and Whereas the uncertainty of Real Property values after the present war cannot be determined, we the Real Property Committee recommend to the Council that it adopt the following resolution: RESOLVED, that the Board of Public Affairs be directed to advertise and take bids for the sale of the following property, either separately or as a whole, or both: Lots 5, 6 and 7, in Block 7; Lots 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12, in Block 10; Lots, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12, in Block 23; Lots 7 and 8, in Block 26; Lots 7, 8, 9 and 10, in Block 27; All lying in Cunningham Addition to the City of Little Rock. Lot 9, and the South half of Lot 10, in Block 20, Pulaski Heights Addition to the City of Little Rock. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that in lieu of paying the taxes on Lots 4, 5 and 6, in Block 26, Cunningham Addition; and Lot 3, in Block 27, Cunningham Addition, that these lots be deeded to the Commissioners of the Districts in which the taxes have accrued,, and that the Mayor and City Clerk be directed and authorized to execute and deliver a suit Claim Deed conveying the aforesaid mentioned lots to the Commissioners of Street Improvement District No. 452, and Curb and Gutter Improvement District No. 453. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that since the East driveway running from Twelfth Street into the Fair Park, the South end of which runs through Lot 2, Block 27, Cunningham Addition, and since Lot 1, Block 27, Cunningham Addition, fronting on Twelfth Street, lies between the East and West driveways, that these lots are valuable to the City, and that they not be sold at this time, and that negotiation with the Commissioners and Attorney for the above mentioned Districts be made as to the settlement of these taxes by the Real Property Committee.
