1594 RESOLUTION NO. 1594.
WHEREAS , the United States of America in its defense program has
requested the City of Little Hock to make available an appropriate
buildinT in Little Rock for a Soldiers ' Service Center, and
WHEREAS , the city is anxious of assisting and cooperating with
the Civilian Military Council of Little Rock to purchase , re-model
and furnish a building for said Soldiers ' Service Center to be used
by the Thirty Fi£4 Division and Corps Area Command stationed at
Camp Robinson and Adams Field in Little Rock and other members of the
armed forces of the United States of America.
N OW THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS .
Section 1 . That the Nayor is hereby authorized to sign a
Defense Public Works application and any other necessary papers for
federal assistance for grant of funds for said project whereby the
City of Little Rock will spend only such funds as are provided by the
Federal Government and/or the Civilian Military Council for such
purposes1provided, however, that the City of Little Rock shall
assume no financial obligation in connection with any such project .
