1589 RESOLUTION NO. 1589
WHEREAS , it is the considered opinion of the City
Council that the interests of the City of Little Rock would
be promoted and improved if new industries and sources of employ-
ment could be attracted to Little Rock, and
WHEREAS , the needs of the present national emergency have
made necessary the location of new plants useful in war and
peace
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE ROCK ,
ARKANSAS :
That the Mayor is hereby petitioned to request the State
Defense Council Chairman to appoint a chairman for the Pulaski
County Defense Council , the duties of the Pulaski County Defense
Council Chairman, to consist in doing those things best designed
to secure desirable industries and projects for the City of
Little Rock and to act as public relations contact representative
in such negotiations to the end that new businesses and new
industries may be located in Little Rock.
