A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK
TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE OWNERS OF ALL
LOTS IN BLOCK 7, JONES & WORTHEN' S ADDITION TO THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, AND LOTS A, B, C, D, E, AND F,
BEELER' S ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, CLOSING
THE ALLEY WHICH COMMENCES ON ELEVENTH STREET AND RUNS
WEST BETWEEN LOTS A TO F, INCLUSIVE, BEELER'S ADDITION,
155 FEET, AND THENCE NORTH TO BOOKER STREET, PURSUANT
TO THE AUTHORITY GIVEN BY SECTION 10032 OF POPE'S
DIGEST OF THE STATUTES OF ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, the alley as originally platted in Beeler' s
Addition to the City of Little Rock, and in Block 7, Jones &
Worthen' s Addition, has never been opened to or used by the pub-
lie and is not needed for highway purposes, and the welfare of
the City of Little Rock will be enhanced and promoted by having
it closed; and,
WHEREAS, the owners of all lots in Block 7, Jones &
Worthen' s Addition, and in Beeler' s Addition, as originally
platted, have signed a writing evidencing a desire that it be
closed and vacated;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1 : That the Mayor and City Clerk of the City
of Little Rock be, and they are hereby, authorized to enter into
an agreement with the owners of Lots A to F, inclusive, Beeler' s
Addition, and all lots in Block 7, Jones & Worthen' s Addition,
providing for the vacation and abandonment of the alley as orig-
inally platted and hereinabove described, said agreement to con-
form to the provisions of Section 1.0032 of Pope' s Digest of the
Statutes of Arkansas, and to be recorded with the City Clerk as
therein provided. Upon the execution and recording of said agree-
ment, the alley in said block shall thereupon be vacated and
abandoned.
Section 2: This Resolution shall be in force and
effect after its passage.
