1572 RESOLUTION NO. 1572. WHEREAS THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK NOW HAS AN OPPORTUNITY TO LEASE TO RAYMOND COOK A PLOT OF GROUND 100 FT . BY 200 FT . JUST INSIDE AND SLIGHTLY TO THE WEST OF THE SOUTH ENTRANCE OF FAIR PARK FOR THE PURPOSE OF MAINTAINING A ROLLER SKATING RINK THEREON AND WHEREAS IT IS HIGHLY DESIRABLE TO PROVIDE THE CITIZENS OF LITTLE ROCK WITH WHOLESOME ENTERTAINMENT WHENEVER POSSIBLE AND WHEREAS SUCH A LEASE WILL AUGMENT THE CITY 'S REVENUE NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LITTLE ROCK CITY COUNCIL: Section 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and empowered to lease to Raymond Cook a plot of ground 100 ft. by 200 ft. just inside and slightly to the west of the south entrance of Fair Park for a term to begin May 1 , 1941 and running continuously to September 1 , 1941 with the option in the said Raymond Cook of extending the lease beyond September 1, 1941 for a period not to exceed sixty days . Section 2 . The lessee shall pay Seventy-Five Dollars ($75.00 ) per month in advance for the rent and lease of the said premises and the lessee shall pay any privilege and/or other taxes in addition to the said rental and shall furnish all of the utilities that he shall require . Section 3. The lessee shall be authorized by said lease to remove any fences or other obstructions on the leasedpremises provided that he replaces any improvements so removed at his own expense at the expiration of the lease . Section 4. The powerw granted under this resolution shall become effective immediately upon the passage and ap- proval of this resolution.
