1522 RESOLUTION p;O.
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock, Arkansas , pur-
chased and now owns the following lands in Pulaski County,
more particularly described as follows , to-wit: SE* of
Section 11, Township 1 North, Range 12 West, and known as
the Starbuck Place , and
WHEREAS , said real property has previously been
known and designated as the Oakland Cemetery and set apart
for the interment of the dead of this City, and
WHEREAS, the said commissioners of Oakland Cem-
etery now find it necessary and desirable to use certain
lands adjacent to the WI of the NW4 of the SE4- of Section
11, Township 1 North, Range 12 West, consisting of all
that ground with the exception of three lots on the North
side of 21st Street,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Coun-
cil of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas , that the use of
said 2 ° acres described above by the Oakland Cemetery
is hereby approved and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby
directed and authorized to execute any and all instruments
that may be necessary in order to allow the commissioners
of Oakland Cemetery to use said real property for the pur-
poses of a cemetery.
