R E S O L U T I O N.
NO. 1518
WHEREAS, on or about the 4th day of July, 1940 , about
3:05 o' clock P.M. , an accident occurred at the intersection
of Ninth and Marshall Streets in the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas , by and between an automobile operated by Ralph E.
Sprigg of 1611 West 23rd Street , Little Rock, Arkansas , and an
automobile owned by the City of Little Rock, Arkansas , and used
in the Police Department of said City, and as a result of said
accident the said automobile , same being a Police Squad Car,
was damaged in the sum of Twenty-four and 11/100 Dollars($24.11) ;
and,
WHEREAS, the said Ralph E. Sprigg and his employer , Kroger
Grocery & Baking Company, have agreed to pay the cost of repair-
ing said automobile in the sum of Twenty-four and 11/100 Dollars
(24.11) upon the execution by said City of proper instruments of
release .
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Little Rock, State of Arkansas , that the Mayor and City Clerk
be,and they are hereby authorized upon the payment of the amount
of the damages to said Police Car in the sum of Twenty-four and
11/100 Dollars (4'1324.11 ) to execute in favor of Ralph E. Sprigg
and Kroger Grocery & Baking Co. , proper instruments of release,
releasing the said Ralph E. Sprigg and Kroger Grocery & Baking
Co. from any and all liability as a result of the damages to
said automobile , and that the said Mayor and City Clerk are
hereby authorized to do any and all other things necessary in
the pre~rases .

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS, that the Undersigned (do(es) hereby acknowledge receipt of

in full compromise settlement and satisfaction of, and as sole consideration for the final release and discharge of, all
actions, claims and demands whatsoever, that now exist, or may hereafter accrue, against Ralph EfSprigg and/or
and any other person, corporation, association or partnership charged with responsibility for injuries to the person and
property of the Undersigned, and the treatment thereof, and the consequences flowing therefrom, as a result of an
accident, casualty or event which occurred on or about the 4th day of Tlli j

and for which the Undersigned claims the above named persons or parties are legally liable in damages; which legal
liability and damages are disputed and denied, and;
The Undersigned Warrants, that no promise or inducement has been offered except as herein set forth; that
this Release is executed without reliance upon any statement or representation by the person or parties released or their
representatives, or physicians, concerning the nature and extent of the injuries and/or damages and/or legal liability
therefor; that the Undersigned is of legal age, legally competent to execute this Release and accepts full responsibility
theref or, and;
The Undersigned Agrees, as a further consideration and inducement for this compromise settlement, that it
shall apply to all unknown and unanticipated injuries and damages resulting from said accident, casualty or event,
as well as to those now disclosed.
