1505 RESOLUTION NO. 1505
-Whereas, the testimony in the case of A. M. Fewell vs .
J. V. Satterfield , Jr. , as Mayor of the City of Little Rock ,
was fully developed in the Pulaski Circuit Court where the
case was tried and a fair , impartial, just and correct de-
cision was rendered therein, which judgment directs that the
said A. Y. Fewell be forthwith restored to the City pay roll
as custodian of City Park and further gives judgment against
the City of Little Rock for A. Y. Fewell's salary as custodian
from January 1 to June 1, 1940; and
Whereas, it would be expensive and the City Council of
the City of Little Rock believes it would be useless to
further litigate this matter;
Therefore , be it resolved by the City Council that George
E. Garanflo, city engineer for the City of Little Rock, be and
he is hereby instructed and directed to place the said A. M.
Fewell on the City pay roll as custodian of City Park as of
June 1, 1940 ; and Cooper Jacoway, city attorney, and Ike Teague ,
assistant city attorney, be and they are hereby instructed and
directed not to take an appeal of said case from the judgment
of the circuit court.
