1504 RESOLUTION NO. 1504
WHEREAS , Isaac T. Gillam , Sr. , was during his
lifetime a useful and valuable citizen of Little Rock ,
Arkansas; and
WHEREAS , said Isaac T. Gil lam , Sr. , did by his
life and conduct do much to promote a spirit of harmony
and good will between the different races and citizens
of Little Rock , Arkansas; and
WHEREAS , it is now considered meet and fitting
that these services of Isaac T. Gillam, Sr. , should be
appropriately recognized ,
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED that the park
properties now known as the Negro Park and located on
Granite Mountain shall henceforth be named and known
as the Isaac T. Gillam , Sr. , Memorial Park.
