1466 RESOLUTION No. 1466
AREAS, the Young Business Mien' s Association of Little Rock,
initiated and sponsored the City-wide Clean -up Campaign of Aug-
ust 17, 1939 to September 5th, 1939, and
WHEREAS, excellent publicity regarding the campaign was ar-
ranged and has been handled by the Young Business Men' s Associa-
tion, and
WHEREAS, such publicity was instrumental in bringing to the
attention of all citizens, the objectives of said Clean-up Campaign
and the benefits thereof which has resulted in the whole-heartedoo-
operation of a large number of our citizens and
MBEREAS, more than 1700 tons of trash and rubbish has been
hauled from the residential areas of our City, and disposed of,
thereby adding to the enjoyment of our citizens and creating a more
healthful condition for the comunity, and
MHEREAS, such public service as has been rendered by the Young
Business Men' s Association should be recognized officially,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas, that the efforts of the Young Business
Men' s rssociation, and each of its members, is hereby praised and
commended.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the City Clerk are
hereby authorized to transmit a copy of this resolution to the of-
ficials of the said Young Business Men' s Association in recognition
of their worthy service to the City.
