RESOLUTION NO. 11.65
WHEREAS, the members of certain troops of the Boy Scouts of
Little Rock did faithful and constant service in the notification
of all residents of Little Rock, relative to the City-wide Clean-
up Campaign of August 17, 1939 to September 5th, 1939, and
WHEREAS, such service was instrumental in bringing to the
attention of all citizens, the objectives of said Clean-up Cam-
paign and the benefits thereof which has resulted in the whole-
hearted cooperation of a large number of our citizens and
1;HEREJ-4S, more than 1700 tons of trash and rubbish has been
hauled from the residential areas of our City, and disposed of,
thereby adding to the enjoyment of our citizens and creating a
more healthful condition for the community, and
WHEREAS, such public service as has been rendered by the mem-
bers of certain troops of the Boy Scouts of Little Rock should be
recognized officially.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas, that the efforts of the members of cer-
tain troops of the Boy Scouts of Little Rock, are hereby praised
and commended.
BE TT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the City Clerk are
hereby authorized to transmit a copy of this resolution to the of-
ficials of certain troops of the Boy Scouts of Little Rock, in re-
cognition of their worthy service to the City.
