RESOLUTION No. 1456
WHEREAS, Thera are certain employees of the Municipal Zoo
at Fair Park, and said employees come under the jurisdiction of
the Civil Service Commission; and,
WHEREAS, Certain rules and regulations for suspension and
IHiismissal of such employees should be made; and
3 WHEREAS, It has been brought to the attention of the Council
1 that both the Civil Service Commission and the Little Rock Zoo

Commission .have adopted and recommended the rules herein set-out as
follows to-wit :

"Any employee at the Fair Park or Municipal Zoo may be
a _
suspended for thirty days or dismissed from service , subject to

the action of the Civil Service Commission, if he is guilty of
any act of orn« ission or commission as follows:
1. Neglect of duty.
2. Absent without leave or failure to return after leave
expires, is disapprove° or revoked.
3 . Incompetency, inefficiency or incapacity.
4. In efficiency as determined by service rating developed
during two successive periods.
5. Violations of lawful official regulations, insubordination
or breach of discipline.
6. Drinking or or off duty.
7 . Conduct unbecoming an employee in the public service .
8. Offensive conduct or language toward the public; to
superior or fellow employees.
9. Disorderly or immoral conduct .
10. Violation of any of the provisions of the laws of the
United States, State of Arkansas or the Ordinances of
the City of Little Rock.

11. Failure to pay or make reasonable provisions for the
payment of just debts.
12. Failure of any employe to carry out the instructions of
their superior or head of their department.
13. Neglect of, or wilful damage to public property or waste
of public supplies or equipment .
14. Conviction of a criminal offense involving moral
turpitude.

15. Failure to carry out all the rules and regulations
of the Civil Service Commission."
NOW, THEREFORE, 3E IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS
That it adopt the rules hereinabove quoted in full , and
authorize the Civil Service Commission to proceed to enforce said
rules.
