A RESOLUTION PETITIONING THE ARKANSAS STATE HIGHWAY
DEPARTMENT TO PLACE THE OVER-PASS OVER THE ROCK ISLAND RAILROAD
TRACKS ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE CITY AT THE END OF MAIN STREET.
WHEREAS, the City Council feels that it is its duty
and privilege to express to the Arkansas State Highway Department
its view on the location of the over-pass over the Rock Island
Railroad tracks on the South side of the City, which is under con-
sideration for construction by that Department, NOW THEREFORE,
Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas:
Section 1. That believing that the over-pass will best
serve all interests of the City by being located at the South end of
Main Street, that the City hereby expresses its preference for the
location of such over-pass at the South end of Main Street, and that
a copy of this resolution be forwarded by the City Clerk to the Arkan-
sas State Highway Department.
