1353R E S O L U T I O N
No. 1757
WHEREAS, the policy of group insurance protecting
employees of the Police and Fire Departments of the City of
Little Rock will expire on the 30th day of December, 1935
and the company carrying said policy has declined to renew
said policy on the original terms of said policy; and
WHEREAS, the POLICE and FIRE Committees of the City
Council have made a full and complete investigation of the
necessity of purchasing group insurance, the contracts offered
by the various companies, and has ascertained in expressions
and desires of each of said departments; and,
WHEREAS, it is the judgment of the City Council that
a new policy of group insurance should be purchased;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, that the Board of Public
Affairs is hereby authorized, empowered and directed to immediately
enter into such contract for the purchase of group insurance to
give immediate coverage to the employees of the Police and Fire
Departments as the Board of Public Affairs may, in its judgment,
find to be for the best interest of the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas and employees of the departments affected.
