WHEREAS, The Little hock Community Fund is now conducting its
annual subscription campaign for raising the money necessary to fin-
ante the Community Chest and the agencies thereof during the ensu-
ing year; and,
JHLREAS, Said agencies care for many of the charitable recuests
and needs which otherwise would fall upon the amity of Little Rock,
and result therein in saving much time and money for the citizens
and the tax payers of the Clity of Little Mock; and,
WHEREAS, Said City of Little Rock should aid in financing this
said agency
Now, Therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS
That the Mayor is hereby authorized to pledge to the said Com-
munity Chest for and in behalf of the City of Little Rock the sum of
Five Thousand Dollars (95,000.00); and the Mayor and Board of Public
Affairs are hereby authorized and empowered to ma'.e such payment
from the General Fund of the City of Little Hock after January 1, 1936
at such intervals and in such amounts up to the said sum of Five Thou-
sand Dollars (45,000.00) as the said :Mayor and Board of Public t'ff-
fairs shall deem wise.
