A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE EXTENSION 01- TIRE IN WHICH
PERSONS INTERESTED MAY APPEAR BEFORE THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, AND
PRESENT PROTESTS AGAIItiST ORDINANCE NO. 5273
PASSED BY TEE CITY COUNCIL ON SEPTEW13ER 3, 1935
UNTIL THE /'*TH DAY OF OCTOBER, 1935.
WHEREAS, the City Council did on the 3rd day of
September, 1935, pass Ordinance ho. 5273, Section 19 of which
ordinance provides for the publication of said Ordinance 1o.
5273, to which should be attached a notice as provided there-
in warning all persons interested to appear and present pro-
tests against said ordinance so adopting and fixing the time
for said protest as September 23rd, 1935 at eight o'clock P.M.;
and
WHEREAS, owing to the great number of similar ordi-
nances. passed at the same time and the great amount of v:,ork
entailed upon the City Clerk he was unable to get said ordi-
nance engrossed and published in the time required by said
ordinance and it is now necessary that the time provided by
said Section 19 be extended; NOW, THEREFORE:
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That A. E. Overman, "layor of the City of
Little Rock, be and he is hereby directed to publish for one
insertion in the Arkansas Gazette or Arkansas Democrat the
said notice provided for in. Section 19, but that the time pre-
scribed in said notice for persons interested to appear before
the City Council and protest against said ordinance be extend-
ed from September 23rd, 1935 at eight o'clock, P.M., to Octo-
ber /Ath, 1935 at eight o'clock, P.M., and that said notice as

amended be published, together with said Ordinance No.
5273, as originally directed in Section 19 of said Ordi-
nance No. 5273.
