WHEREAS, There is now pending a project contemplating the build-
ing of a levy surroundin the flood district of art Little Rock; and,
��HEREAS, The '',tiorks Progress :. dministration has requested that the
City of Little Rock furnish all easements and lands necessary for a
right -off' -way for said levy; and,
i►HEREAS, They have required that the U-ity of Little Rock must
assume responsibility for all damages incident to the execution of
said project; and,

WHEREAS, The +orks ?rogress Administration recuires that the City!
of Little Rock must agree to take over operation and maintenance of
said levy when completed
Now, Therefore)
DE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK
SECTION 1. .hat the City of Little Rock furnish without cost to
the United States the necessary land and easements for a levy to be I
built around the flood area of voMM Little Rock.
SECTION 2. That the City of Little hock assume responsibility
for all damages incident to, caused by and /or growing out of the
building of said levy.
SECTION 3. That the City of Little Rock hereby agrees to take
over the operation and maintenance of said levy when and after con-
struction is completed.
