'&71EREAS the telephone rates for the City of Little Nock are
exorbitant and unreasonably high; and,
6�'rER�,AS, the citizens of the City* of Little Rock are unreason-
ably burdened with the -payment of such rates; and,
'HER' the State Legislature in the recently adjourned 'en-
eral Assembly has created the Public Utilities Commission for the
i pur -pose of investi.-a�ing and adjusting utility rates.

SE ;TI ON 1 . That the ":`alror and City Council of the City of
Little dock hereby -petition the public Utilities Commission to inves-
tigate and adjust, with a view to lowering,the telechone rates within
and for the City of Little Roc's, at the earliest time convenient to
