WHEREAS, the need of efficient police protection and the value of radio
broadcasting in this connection is recognized, and

North Little Pock, American Legion, through C. C. Icing, and J. A. . annamaker,
Post Commanders, respectively, took the lead at a time when economic con itions
were unfavorable and secured a radio broadcastirg stati6n and automobile
equipment for the city of Little Nock, city of North Little Rock, ..nd County
of Pulaski, and

firms, individuals, and organizations cooperated in this important undertaking
at a cost of approximately ;"6000 without expense to the cit-., of Little Rock, and

has been favorable resulting- in increased efficiency of all lava enforcement
agencies in Pulaski coun Via, and affording greater protection to our citizens,
and

movements, therefore
BE IT 1ELLOOLVED, that t'-!e City Council of Little Rock hereby expresses
its appreciation of the efforts of C. C. King, Chairman, and the Citizen's
Committee, v:hi ch hL d charge of thisactivi ty as well as the cooperation of t e
Arkansas Gazette, the Arkansas Democrat and all other clubs, firms, organiza-
tions and in dividue.ls, who contributed in any manner to the success of the
movement, and

continue its cooperation and activity in all matters of progress and interest
to our citizens, and
