WHEREAS the University of Arkansas Medical ;school,
proposes to erect a medical building adjacent to the Little Rock
City Hospital, and South thereof, and
- .?MREAS,it is necessary for the successful construction
of said building that East 12th Street from Tv1cAlmont to McGowan
Street be closed and abandoned, and
1THEREAS, the City of Little Rock and the owners of the
property where it is proposed to erect said medical building are
the only abutting owners upon said street, and
,,AEREAS, it being the desire of the City of Little Rock
to facilitate the erection of said building upon said site, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK:
That Mayor H.A.Knowlton be authorized and directed to
join with the other abutting owners in signing a petition re-
questing the abandonment of East 12th Street betvieen McAlmont
Street and McGowan Street.
