An Ordinance Prescribing and Fixing the License for the Carrying
on of an Automobile Express Business, Prescribing the
Amount Thereof, the Penalty for Non- Payment, and for
other purposes.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK:
Section 1. That hereafter, before any person, firm
or corporation shall engage in the automobile express business
or the business of hauling parcels, baggage, or any other per-
sonal property, by truck or automobile, for hire, such person,
firm or corporation shall take out a license therefor and shall
pay, in addition to all other licenses and taxes heretofore im-
posed, the sum of Ten Dollars (10.00) per automobile, truck, or
other motor - driven vehicle so used.
Section 2. The license provided in this ordinance
shall be collected for the periods and in the manner provided by
Ordinance No. 2568, passed June 23, 1919, and all administrative
provisions of said ordinance shall be applicable hereto.
Section 3. Any person, firm, corporation or individ-
ual violating any provision of this ordinance shall be guilty
of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in
any sum not less than $5.00 and costs and not more than double
the amount of said license paid or due from such person, firm
or corporation, and payment of fine or penalty shall not be sat-
isfied by the payment of such license after said fine is imposed;
provided, that the first payment of license under this ordinance
shall not become delinquent and no penalty shall ensue until
twenty days after this ordinance shall take effect.
Section 4. All ordinances and parts of ordinances

in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall
be in full force from and after thirty days after its passage.
