ORDINANCE N0. 2755.
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND CITY COL -
LECTOR TO NEGOTIATE THE SALE OR THE PLEDGE OF COUNTY
�7ARRANTS, MADE PAYAB:E TO THE CITY OF LITT sE ROCK,
IN THE SUM OF 432,062.45, FOR THE PURPOSE OF
RAISING REVENUE TO MEET THE CURRENT NEEDS
OF THE CITY OF :,ITT ,E ROCK, AIM FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, The City of Little Rock holds Pulaski County
warrant or warrants, made payable to the City of Kittle Rock upon
August 1, 1921, for the sum of 02,062.45, and it is necessary
that said warrant or warrants be either sold or hypothecated for
the purpose of raising money to meet the current expenses of said
city; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK:
Section 1. That the Mayor and City Collector of this
city be and they are hereby authorized and directed, with the ad-
vice of the Board of Public Affairs, to sell said county warrant
or warrants to the best possible advantage, or to hypothecate or
pledge said warrant or warrants, for the purpose of raising suf-
ficient funds to meet the current expenses of the City of Little
Rock, and the endorsement of the Mayor and City Collector upon
said warrant or warrants shall be sufficient evidence of their
sale or hypothecation under this authority, and this council
hereby ratifies their act in so doing.
Section 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall
take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
