BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COJIIC II, OF THE CITY OF LIT TILE RO Cif:
Section 1. That Section 14 of Ordinance Ito. 2488,
passed March 11, 1918, be and the same is hereby amended to read
as follows:
,Vhen, after examination, the City Health Officer or
an inspector of the City Health Department shall find any food
or drink establishment as herein designated unsanitary or danger-
ous to the public health, he shall give written notice to the
person or persons in charge of, owning or operating same, re-
quiring said person or persons to place said business, or cause
said business to be placed, within a period of forty -eight hours,
in a safe and sanitary condition; or, he may,/ in his discretion, f
order said place of business closed until said business shall be
placed in a safe and sanitary condition, and any person, persons,,
firm or corporation failing, after receiving said notice, to
place their business in a safe and sanitary condition or operat-
ing said business after the same has been closed by the City
Health Officer or his inspectors, or who shall, for a period of
forty -eight hours, employ any person or persons, engaged in any

capacity, upon said premises before said person or persons are j
examined and certified to be free from any contagious, infec-
tious or copxunicable disease, shall be deemed guilty of a mis-

and upon
conviction_
thereof shall be fined in any sum
not less

nor more
than x;100.00.
Section 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall
take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
