Section 1. That from and after a period of 1 -�
days from the date of the passage of this ordinance, all signs of
any nature or description spanning any street in the City of :: ittle
Rock shall be constructed in a safe and secure way and shall be
suspended from a steel truss spanning the street, which shall be
mounted upon steel poles, erected inside the curb line u»on each
side of the street so spanned, and all signs so spanning the street
at the date of the passage of this ordinance Rhall be constructed,
or, it necessary, reconstructed, to comply with the terms of this
ordinance within sAid period.
Section_ 2. 1Is a further safeguard, said steel poles
shell be guyed in such a way as to relieve them from wind- strain
and such compression as may be caused by the direct weight of the
sign, and shall be constructed under the supervision and to the
approval of the City :engineer.
Section 3. any person, firm, or corporation failing to
comply with the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed
upon conviction,
guilty of a misdemeanor and, fined in any sum not less than X100.00
nor more than and each day after the expiration of the
jabove period that any sign not constructed or reconstructed in ac-
cordance
with the provisions
of
this
ordinance
is permitted
to
span any
street in the City
of

pock shall
be deemed
