3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH LANDERS DODGE JEEP, IN THE TOTAL
5 AMOUNT OF THREE HUNDRED SEVENTY THOUSAND, SIX
6 HUNDRED EIGHT DOLLARS ($370,608.00), FOR THE PURCHASE OF
7 SIXTEEN (16) PURSUIT -RATED VEHICLES FOR THE LITTLE ROCK
8 POLICE DEPARTMENT, UTILIZING THE ARKANSAS STATE
9 PURCHASING CONTRACT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS, the Police Department is in need of sixteen (16) pursuit -rated vehicles which will be an
12 addition to the Little Rock Police vehicle fleet, a portion of which will replace older units with extremely
13 high mileage and maintenance costs, with the remainder to be additional units added to the Police fleet;
14 and,
15 WHEREAS, by utilizing the Arkansas State Purchasing Contract, the City Fleet Services is
16 authorized to purchase sixteen (16) pursuit -rated vehicles from Landers Dodge Jeep for the total amount
17 of Three Hundred Seventy Thousand, Six Hundred Eight and No /100 Dollars ($370,608.00);
18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
19 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
20 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with
21 Landers Dodge Jeep for the purchase of sixteen (16) pursuit -rated vehicles for the Little Rock Police
22 Department, utilizing the Arkansas State Purchasing Contract, for the total amount of Three Hundred
23 Seventy Thousand, Six Hundred Eight and No/] 00 Dollars ($370,608.00).
24 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in the 2012 collection of 3/8 -Cent and 5/8 -Cent Sales
25 Taxes.
26 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
27 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
28 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
29 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
30 resolution.
31 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
32 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
