2796i ORDINANCE NO. 2796. 1 Ordina'ce fixing the License to be Paid by Automobile Dealers, Fixing the Penalty Therefor, and for other purposes. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK: 54, e.1' Section 1. Each manufacturer of and dealer in motor vehi- cles doing business in this city shall file in the office of the City Collector of the City of Little Rock, upon a blank to be furnished by such collector, an application, properly sworn to, setting forth his name and address and. the description of the vehicles of each class manufactured or dealt in by him, and shall accompany his application with a registration fee in the amount named in the schedule below, which shall be a tax for the privilege of keeping and using or driving such motor vehicles upon the streets of this city: For each motor vehicle other than a truck,...... (10.00 ° For such trucks as are manufactured or dealt in, of a capacity of less than two tons,.. 20.00 For such trucks as are manufactured or dealt in, of a capacity of two tons and less than three tons .. ............................... 25.00 For such trucks as are manufactured or dealt in, of a capacity of three tons or over,.. 30.00 Provided, however, any dealer may keep, use and operate upon the streets, for demonstration uurposes or in the usual line of the dealer's business, trucks of any of the classes above described, upon the payment of one tax of P25-00. Section 2. Upon the filing of said application in the office of the City Collector and the payment of the fee or fees named in the above schedule, it shall be the duty of the Collector or his deputy, without further fees, to issue to such manufacturer or dealer a certifi- cate of registration, which certificate shall be in the form of a card which may be carried in the pocket and which shall contain a distinctive • 1, a u number, and said Collector shall also issue to the owner of such motor vehicle one metal plate, bearing the number assigned to such motor vehicle, together with the words "Little Rock ", and neither said letters nor numbers shall be less than two inches in height, which metal plate shall be the "master license plate ", and such Col- lector or his .�,dL/ep__atyshall also deliver to said dexe;r . dupl J2 -Gi' 'y IL Ot>t!L �Ci/�'✓ -� //►.(.,4 •'L'r`� ';yLt +1F lt7^ Q.n•`/' - rt .. _�`✓ Cate plates, which may be used upon anyGGs vehicles of the class for.'. Ordinance No. 2553, passed April 7, 1919, and Sections 3 and 4 of Ordinance No._, passed &larch 28, 1921, shall - govern the periods for which said license shall be issued, the method of collection, and the use to which the revenue derived therefrom shall be placed. Section 4. Ordinance No. 2553 and Ordinance No. -2�-`7 2J, , above referred to, only in so far as they conflict with the provisions of this ordinance, and all other ordinances and parts of ordinances specifically in conflict herewith, are hereby repealed, and this ordi- nance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
