AN ORDINANCE AN= TEXING A CERTAIN PORTION,
HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED, OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCtL,ARIANSAS TO STREET IKEDROVEKENT
DISTRICT NO.288 OF LITTLE ROCX A_RKAN_AS._
Whereas, persons claiming to be a majority in value of
the owners of real property vzithin the territory hereinafter de-
scribed,which property adjoins Street Improvement District No.
288 of Little Rock,Arkansastt, a duly created and existing improve-
ment district in said city, desire to be added to and included in
said improvement district, and have filed a petition with the
City Council of the City of Little Rock,Arkansas,praying that said
territory be annexed to said improvement district and have desig-
nated the nature of the improvement to be underta_.en, and have
described the territory to be annexed, and,
'Whereas, the City Council has directed the City Clerk to
publish for two weeks in some newspaper issued and having a general
circulation in Pulaski County a notice calling upon the property
owners within said territory to appear before this Council on this
day and show cause for or against such annexation, and
'Whereas, such notice has been duly published and this is
the time fixed in said notice for the hearing to determine whether
those signing said petition constitute a majority in value-of the
owners of real property in said territory, and
Whereas, this Council has heard all persons who desire
to be heard upon the question of whether the signers of said peti-
tion constitute a majority in value of the owners of real property
within said territory sought to be annexed.
THEREFORE, be it ordained by Uhe City Council of the
City of little Rock, Arkansas:
SECTION 1: That this Council has ascertained that the
signers of the petition to annex the property hereinafter described
to be Street Improvement District ho. 288 of the City of Little Rock,

Arkansas, constitute a majority in value of the oviners of real
property within the territory sought to be annexed, end that said
petition for the annexation of said territory is in due form and
properly signed by a majority of the owners of real property as
required by law.
SECTION 2: That lots 1,2,3,4,5 and 6 of Blocks 306 and
308, lots 4,5,6,7,8, and 9 of Block 307 and Lots 7,8,9,10,11 and
12 of Blocks 327,328 and 329 all in the original City of little
Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas, to be and they are hereby added
to and annexed to Street Improvement District No. 288 of little
Rock and are a part of said Improvement District and the commis-
sioners of said District shall proceed to make the improvements
petitioned for by doing the necessary draining and paving with
the material and in the manner that the commissioners of said
Street Improvement District No. 288 shall deem to be for the best
interest of the territory hereby annexed to said Street Improve-
ment District No. 288 on Pulaski Street from the North property
line of 4est 10th Street to the South property line of `ffest 7th
Street.
SECTION 3: That the commissioners shall make the as-
sessments of benefits for said improvement on the lots in the
territory to be annexed on the same basis as if said territory
was included in the original district and shall file said as-
sessment with the City Clerk.
SECTION 4: That all ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed and this ordinance shall take effect and be
in force from and after its passage, and the City Clerk is here-
by ordered within twenty days after the passage of this ordinance
to publish the same in some newspaper published in the City of
Little Rock for one insertion.
