I BE IT ORDA IIdED BY T-E CITY COUNCIL 0 ' ` I?. CITY OF LITTLE ROCK e- Section 1. That from and after the date of the passage of this ordinance, it shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corpo- ration to have, keep or maintain any horse or mule, horses or mules, in any portion of the city unless the barn, stable, bin or stall used for said horse or horses, mule or mules, shall be provided with r a water -tight floor'of wood, or brick, or cement, or tamped clay, properly drained, the surface thereof being so constructed that at no place thereupon shall water or other fluids or filth stand. or . accumulate, and this section shall apply to that portion of the city Within which wagon yards and livery stables are permitted, the same as it applies to other portions of the City of Little Rock. Section 2. Every such stable, barn, bin or stall, either where a horse or horses, or a mule or mules, are kept, whether by private persons, firms or corporations or by public livery barns, livery stables or wagon yards, shall be cleaned daily of all manure and other litter, which shall be placed in a water - tight, substan- tially covered, fly -proof bin o= box, the contents of which shallbe removed from the City of Little Rock not less than four times each month. Section 3. :,,very livery barn, livery stable and `Tagon yard VTitr.i-,i t're li'TT:its. of the City of Little Rock shall be supplied. with a toilet, conformable to the ordinances and public health regulations of the City of Little Rock, for the use of all of its employees.- cus- tomers and patronsiand no part of said barn, stable or yard- thall be located within a radius of thirty feet from any occupied dwelling or any glace 1�rhere food for human consur_:ption is stored or offered for sale. V Section Q. Every livery stable, livery barn, wagon ya1*a, and each and every part thereof, and every private barn, stable, stall or bin in which any horses, mules or other animals fire kept, shall be kept in a clean and sanitary manner, and if, on account of its location or arrangement it shall be necessary,to keep the same in sanitary condition, that it be cleaned oftener or its refuse, bins or boxes, be emptied oftener, or more than one toilet is needed. therein, the owners or proprietors thereof shall clean said premises or empty- such refuse, bins or boxes, or place such additional toilets therein as shall be necessary to maintain, and shall maintain, said premises in a proper, sanitary condition, and said premises shall be open to the inspection of the members of the Board of realth and the City Health Officer at all times, and shall be in all cases so con- ducted as not to become a, nuisance in any portion of the city. Section 5. Ordinance No. 2569, extending the prohibited area for livery stables and wagon .yards, is hereby repealed, and all ord.i- nances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are herebtr re- pealed; provided, that this ordinance shall riot affect the prohibited • area of keeping livery stables and wagon yards in so far as said area is affected by the repeal of Ordinance No. 2569, and this ordinance shall take effect and be "in force from and. after its passage. � 7 i��i lassed Approved Mayor.
