Inclusive, 33106 to 33115, Inclusive, 3.3121 to 33536, Inclusive,
and 33642 to 33569, Inclusive.
U:+hereas, There have been presented to this council warrants
of the City of Little Rock, as follows:
Warrants numbered 33001 to 33102, inclusive, 33106 to 33115,/
inclusive, 33121 to 33536, inclusive, and 33542 to 33569, inclusive,
all of said warrants drawn upon July 9, 1920, in favor of R. G. Hel-
bron, of Little Rock, Arkansas, each warrant being for the sum of
One Thousand Dollars ($1000.00), and all of said warrants maturing
July 9, 1921; and,
Whereas, the holders of said warrants have requested their
reissue to R. G. Helbron, of Little Rock, Arkansas, but payable to
bearer; and,
Whereas, this council has carefully investigated the validity
and the amount of the indebtedness for which each of said warrants
was issued; and,
',%hereas, this council has ascertained that the said warrants
are the legal and binding obligations of the City of Little _dock;
Now, Therefore, It is hereby ascertained and declared_ that said
warrants are valid and existing obligations of said city, and, there-
f ore:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTL ROCK:
6ection 1. That said warrants, hereinbefore described, shall
be filed with the city clerk and by him plainly canceled by perforation
and kept in his file, and that in lieu thereof the City of Little Kock,
by its mayor and city clerk, as president and clerk; of the city council

issue to the said q. G. Helbron warrants of the City of Little 1dock
to the amount of �51556,000 in renewal thereof. Said warrants shall
be made payable to the bearer at the Union Trust Company, in the City
of Chicago, Illinois, Barth 25, 1922, and they shall have all the
attributes of negotiable paper, and ten of said warrants shall be in
the denomination of Five Thousand Dollars ($5000.00) each and five
hundred six of said warrants shall be in the denomination of One
Thousand Dollars ($1000.0) each.
ection 2. Said warrants shall be in the .following form:

CITY OF LITTLE ROCK
On the 25th day of 1- Tarch, 1922, the treasurer of the City of
Little Rock, in the State of Arkansas, will pay to bearer at the Union
Trust Company, in the City of Chicago, Illinois, the sum of
Dollars in la%,,,ful money of the United States, out
of any money in his hands belonging to the general fund.
This warrant is issued to fund another warrant of said city
which has been presented to the city council of the said City of little
Rock by the holder thereof, and reissuance thereof requested in pursu-
ance of the provisions of Act No. 383 of the General Assembly of the
State of Arkansas for the year 1917, entitled "An act authorizing
cities in Arkansas having a population of 40,000 or over, to refund
their city warrants, �' the said warrant in lieu of which this warrant
is issued having been carefully investigated by the city council of said
city, and it having ascertained and declared the validity and amount of
the indebtedness due upon the warrant in lieu of which this warrant
is issued, and the warrant in lieu of which this warrant is issued has
been filed with the city clert and by him plainly canceled by rerfora-
tion and kept in his files; and it is hereby recited and covenanted with
the holder of this warrant that this warrant has been duly issued in ac-
cordance with the act aforesaid,ead that all things required to be

done by the terms of said act have been done as therein required,
and that the ordinance ordering the issue of this warrant has the
force and effect of a judgment, establishing the validity of the
claim for which this warrant is issued, and that this warrant evi-
dences a valid indebtedness of the city of Little Rock for the amount
thereof, and that it is not open to question at law or in equity, and
to the payment of this warrant the Mull faith, crOit and resources
of said city are irrevocably pledged.
In Witness 'Nhereof , the Ci%, of Little Kock has executed
this warrant under the hand of its mayo� and caused the same to be at-
tested. by its corporate seal and the s.gnature of its clerk on this
9th day of July, 1921-
