AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A FRANCHISE TO J. L. SCHAER FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF A SEVER-ALONG THE SOUTH LINE OF LOT 1, BLOCK 10,
OF POPE'S ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY T'r4; CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK:
Section 1. The privilege is hereby granted to J. L. Schaer,
his heirs and assigns, to construct

Section 2. Said sewer shall be constructed in a good and work-
manlike manner, the said J. L. Schaer paying all the expenses thereof,
and he is hereby authorized to permit or prevent connections thereto by
any person, firm or corporation except upon the terms and conditions
herein specified.
Section 3. Any person, firm or corporation being the owner or
owners of any lot of land, not exceeding fifty by one hundred fifty feet,
adjacent or accessible to said sewer, shall be permitted to form a con-
nection with said sewer constructed by the said J. L. Schaer upon the
payment to the said J. L. Schaer of a stun to be named by the said J. L.
Schaer, not in excess of x`100.00 for each connection for a lot of the
above dimensions or any portion thereof.
Section 4. No permit shall be issued for any connection thereto
until after the, above described fee has been paid. Provided, however,
that at the expiration of a period of ten years from this date, all the
right, title and interest in and to said sewer extension constructed by
the said J. L. Schaer shall revert to the City and connections thereto
shall be governed by the general ordinances applying to sewer connections.
Section 5. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall take effect and be
in force from and after its passage.
