( An Ordinance for the Re _ LT of r'arrants Numbered 33635, 33636,
and 33701.
Whereas, There have been presented to this council warrants
of the City of Little Rock, as follows:
Warrants numbered 33635, 33636, and 33701, all of said
warrants drawn upon July 25, 1920, in favor of R. G. Helbron,
of Little Rock, Arkansas, each warrant being for the sum of One
Thousand Dollars ($1000.00), and all of said warrants maturing
July 25, 1921; and,
Whereas, the holders of said warrants have requested their
reissue to R. G. Helbron, of Little Rock, Arkansas, but payable to
bearer; and,
tihereas, this council has carefully investigated the validi-
ty and the amount of the indebtedness for which each of said :�ar-
rants was issued; and,
Whereas, this council has ascertained that the said war-
rants are the legal and binding obligations of the City of Little
Rock;
Now, Therefore, It is hereby ascertained and declared that
said warrants are valid and existing obligations of said city,
and, therefore:

Section 1. That said warrants,

renewal thereof. Said warrants shall be made payable to the bearer
at the Union Trust Company, in the City of Chicago, Illinois,
i +larch 25, 1922, and they shall have all the attributes of negotia-
ble paper, and they shall be in the denomination of One Thousand
Dollars (1000.00) each.
Section 2. Said warrants shall be in the following
form:

This warrant is issued to fund another warrant of said
city which has been presented to the city council of the said City
of Little Rock by the holder thereof, and reissuance thereof re-
quested in pursuance of the provisions of let 11o. 383 of the Gen-
eri3l Assembly of the State of Arkansas for the year 1917, entitled
"An act authorizing cities in Arkansas having a population of
40,000 or over, to refund their city warrants," the said warrant in
lieu of which this warrant is issued having been carefully investi-
gated by the city council of s =_id city, and it having ascertained
and declared the validity and amount of the indebtedness due upon
the warrant in lieu of which this warrant is issued, and the war-
rant in lieu of which this warrant is issued has been filed with
the city clerk and by him plainly canceled by perforation and kept
in his files; and it is hereby recited and covenanted with the
holder of this warrant that this warrant has been duly issued in
accordance with the act aforesaid, and that all things required to
be done by the terms of said act have been done as therein required

and that the ordinance ordering the issue of this warrant has the
force and effect of a judgment, establishing the validity of the
claim for which this warrant is issued, and that this warrant
evidences a valid indebtedness of the City of Little Rock for the,
amount thereof, and that it is not open to question at law or in
equity, and to the payment of this warrant the full faith, credit
and resources of said city are irrevocably pledged.
