AN ORDINANCE LAYING OFF A CERTAIN PORTION
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, INTO A LOCAL
IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT AND DESIGNATING THE BOUNDS
THEREOF, SAID DISTRICT TO BE KNOWN' AS "SIDEWALK
LUTPROVENENT DISTRICT NO-3 Oq OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS."
WHEREAS, more than-ten owners of real property
within the bounds herein mentioned have petitioned the
City Council of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, to
take steps looking toward the making of local improve-
ments therein by constructing sidewalks, and doing the
necessary grading, excavating and filling therefor,
upon each side of the following named streets, to -wit:
Elm Street from the south property line of Thirteenth
Street to the north property line of Sixteenth Street;
Lewis Street from the south property line of Thirteenth
Street to the north property line of Sixteenth Street;
Fourteenth Street from the west property line*of Elm
Street to the east property line of Abigail Street;
Fifteenth Street from the west property line of Elm
Street to the east property line of Abigail Street
and Sixteenth Street from the west property line of
Elm Street to the east property line of Abigail Street;
where the commissioners (to be hereafter selected) may
deem them necessary, the work to be done of such material
as the commissioners may deem best.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That "Sidewalk Improvement District
No.20 9 of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas," be and

the same hereby is created, laid out and established
for the purpose of constructing sidewalks, and doing
the necessary grading, excavating and filling therefor,
upon each side of the following named streets, to -wit:
Elm Streit from the south property line of Thirteenth
Street to the north property line of Sixteenth Street;
.Lewis Street from the south property line of Thirteenth
Street to the north property line of Sixteenth Street;
Fourteenth Street from the west property line of Elm
Street to the east property line of Abigail Street;
Fifteenth Street from the west property line of Elm
Street to the east property line of Abigail Street
and Sixteenth Street from the west property line of
Elm Street to the east property line of Abigail Street;
where the commissioners (to be hereafter selected) may
deem them necessary, the work to be cone of such material
as the commissioners may deem best, in accordance with an
Act of the General Assembly of the State of Arkansas
entitled "An Act To Regulate The Manner of Assessing
Real Property For Local Improvements In Cities Of The
First and Second Class," approved March 22, 1881, and
amendments thereto.
Section 2. That the District hereby created,
laid out and established shall include that portion
of the City of .Little Rock, Arkansas, as follows, to-
wit: Lots four, five, six, seven, eight and nine in
block five; lots one, two, three, four, five and six in
block twelve; lots one, two, three, four, five and six
in block thirteen; all in W. B. Worthen's Addition to
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; and lots one, two
and three in block eight in Braddock's Addition to the
'City of Little Rook, Arkansas; and lots one, two, three,
four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven and

twelve in block two; lots one, two, three, four, five,
six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven and twelve in
block three; lots one, two, three, four, five, six,
seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven and twelve in block
four; all in Iday's Addition to the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas; and lots one, two, three, seven, eight, nine,
ten, eleven and twelve in block six; lots one, two,
three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven
and twelve in block seven; and lots one, two, three,
four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven and
twelve in block twelve; lots one, two, three, four,
five and six in block fourteen; lots one, two, three,
fourteen, fifteen and sixteen in block thirteen; all
in Sidney J. Johnson's Addition to the City of'Little
Rock, Arkansas.
Section 3. That all ordinances and parts of
ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are hereby
repealed and this ordinance shall take effect and be
in force from and after its passage and publication;
and the City Clerk is hereby ordered within twenty days
from the passage of this ordinance to publish same in
some newspaper of general circulation in the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas, for one insertion.
