2910i h r i + # t ORDINANCE NO.2910, An Ordinance Requiring the Removal or Razing of the House at 1407 West Sixth Street, and for other purposes. Whereas An inspection and thorough examination of the house at 1407 West Sixth Street has been made and it is found to be in a very dilapidated and insanitary condition, in momentary danger of collapsing, and also constitutes a very dangerous fire hazard, NOW, THEREFORE:- BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK: Section 1. That said house is hereby declared to be dilapidated, unsightly, unsafe, insanitary, obnoxious and detri- mental to the public welfare and should at once be razed or re- moved, in order to protect the interests of the people in that vicinity. Section 2. The Chief of Police is hereby instructed to cause the removal of said house or the razing thereof, under the supervision of some officer-or employee of his department, at a cost not to exceed a figure named by the Board of Public Affairs, and to cause the storing of the debris to be had upon the lot at said address, in such way as to be least dangerous to the public, both from a sanitary and fire hazard standpoint; and he is further instructed to do such other things as may be necessary and inci- dental to carry out the purposes of this ordinance, and the sum of 1100.00, or as much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appro- priated for the purpose of removing or razing said house. Section 3. The Chief of Police shall report his doings in this behalf, together with a detailed statement of the expenditures t made herein, to the next meeting of this council. Section 4. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage. Passed Approved- Mayo r .
