118661 RESOLUTION NO. 11, 866 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE ALLOCATION OF UP 4 TO ONE MILLION DOLLARS ($1,000,000.00) FROM THE 2004 5 ISSUANCE AND RESERVE FUND TO THE FIRE DEPARTMENT 6 IMPROVEMENT FUND FOR MOLD REMEDIATION AND 7 DIESEL EXHAUST SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS AT FIRE 8 STATIONS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 7 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 WHEREAS, the 2004 Bond issue initially allocated $5,075,000.00 for improvements to Little Rock fire stations, and WHEREAS, once improvements were begun on the fire stations, it became apparent that mold abatement would be required before the improvements could be completed, and WHEREAS, an evaluation of the amount of mold abatement required has been made and the cost of such abatement has been estimated to be approximately One Million Dollars ($1,000,000.00), and WHEREAS, two pieces of equipment have been added to the fire stations which will require installation of diesel exhaust systems at an estimated cost of Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($15,000.00); NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: Resolution To authorize allocation for additional Fire Department Improvements [PAGE 1 OF 21 1 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the allocation of an amount 2 not to exceed One Million Dollars ($1,000,000.00) for mold remediation and diesel 3 exhaust system improvements for the Little Rock fire stations. 4 Section 2. Funds for this purpose are to be allocated from the 2004 Issuance and 5 Reserve Fund and transferred to the Fire Department Improvement Fund. 6 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, 7 clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or 8 unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining 9 portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so 10 declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 11 resolution. 12 Section 4. Repealer.
