AN ORDINANCE LAYING OFF A PORTION OF THE CITY OF LITTLE i'OCK IN-

WHEREAS, more than ten owners of real property within that
portion of Little Rock, :ulaski County and State of Arkansas,
hereinafter described, Ye ve petitioned the City Council to take
steps towards the making of local improvements in the City of
Little Nock by forming the territory hereinafter described into
an improvement district for the purposes hereinafter set out:
THEREFORE.
Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Little Rock;
Section 1. That Street Ir',provement District '?o.,� of the
City of Little Rock, be, and the same is hereby created and estab-
lished for the purpose of grading, draining and paving with as-
phalt, asphaltic concrete or penetration asphalt in such manner
and with such materials as the comet- issioners of said district shall
determine shall be for the best interests of the district, 7,,est
Twelfth (12th) Street f. -op the `°est line of Battery Street to the
1,est line of Lewis Street, apd for the purpose of doing any and
all other work necessary and incident to the said paving and drain-
ing, in accordance with an Act of the General Assembl;T of the State
of Arkansas, entitled, "An Act to regulate the manner of assessing
real property for local improvements in cities of the first class ",
approved i::arch 22, 1881, and amendments thereto.
That, the boundaries of said district be designated as a line
embracing all of the real property included within said lines as
follows, t:) -wit:
Beginning at a point 150 feet south of the Southwest
corner of Battery and Best 12th Streets, thence west
and par�:.11el to ( one hundred and fifty feet south of
the) South line of 'V"'est 12th Street to a point 150
feet youth of the Southwest corner of Lewis and Vest
12th Streets, thence north along the west line of Lew-
is Street to a point 150 feet north of the north line
of V1est 12th treet, thence East and parallel to (150 feet,
_lorth of the) north line of 17est 12th Street to a point
150 feet north of the orthwest corner of Battery and 12th
Streets, thence south along the westline of Battery Street
to the point of beginnilig.

Section 2. That all ordina aces end parts of ordinances
in coin flict herewith are i ereb -T repealed and said ordinance
shall ta.e effect from and after its passage, and the City
Clerk is hereby ordered within twenty (20) days from the date
of its passae -e to publieh same in some newspaper published
in the City of Tittle '-?ock fo-, one insertion.
