AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING THE ARKANSAW WATER COMPANY
TO LAY A WATER MAIN ON MIDLAND AVENUE BETWEEN
MARKHAM STREET AND LEE AVENUE*
WHEREAS, Midland Avenue is soon to be paved from
Markham Street and Lee Avenue and it is to the interest of all
property owners fronting said pavement that the water main be laid
before the pavement is in place, and
WHEREAS it is essential for the better fire protection
of the property along said street that a sufficient and suitable
water main be laid,
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1: That the Arkansas 'dater Company be and it
is hereby ordered and directed to extend its water main, not less

than 6" in diamifter, on Midland Avenue from Markham Street to Lee
Avenue; said main to be laid in accordance with the city ordinance
noU)in force and effect; and that said main be laid immediately.
Section 2: This ordinance shall. be in force and effect
immediately from and after its passage.
