Section 1. The following rules and regulations for the in-
stallation of electrical meter loops and co xnections, in the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas, are hereby prescribed:
Section 2. All service wires shall be in conduit and all main
switches and fuses shall be inclosed in an approved steel cabinet,
of the safet7 type, and operated from the outside and so marked as
to indicate plainly without opening the enclosure, whether the.
switch is in the off or on position.
Section 3. The main service switch must be i_- stalled with
meter trim complete.
Section 4. The box containing the main service, switch and
fuse, must be so arranged that it can be sealed. The main service
fuse must be in place when tYe City Inspector makes his final in-
spection. Only the City Electrician, or authorized employees of
the City Light Department, or the local Central Station or em-
.)lo ees of the Cite Fire Department, shall have author ity to
break this seal, for inspection.
Section 5. Circuit or branch fuses must be installed in
such a manner as to' be readily accessible to the consumer and the
main line switch handle m -1,st not be over 6 feet 6 inches from the
floor.
Section 6. Any person, lirn -: or corporation who shall violate
any of these provisions, riales or regulations, set forth in Section
1, of this Ordinance, shall be deemei3 guilty of a misdemeanor and
upon eonticti one, therefor, shall be punished by a fine of riot l-es
than Five Dollars or more than Twenty -five Dollars.
Section T. This ord.inaiice shall tape effect and he enforced
from and after its passage, All ordinances and parts of ordinances
in conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed.
