ORDINANCE NO. 3099.

An ordinance assessing the value of the benefits to be re-
ceived by the o•.'Mers of each of several blocks, lots, parcels and
other subdivisions of land within Street Improvement -I)istriet No.
296 of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas.
V`M-iEAS, a majority in value of the property o-.mers owning
property adjoining the locality to be affected and situated within
Street Improvement 7istrict No. 296 of the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas, organized for the purpose of making local improvements
therein by grading and paving with concrete, asphaltic concrete,
sheet asphalt or vrith such other materials, and in such manner as
the commissioners of said district shall determine to be for the
best interests of the district, the streets set out in their peti-
tion, have petitioned the City Council of Little Rock for the con-
struction of said improvement and that the cost thereof shall be
assessed upon the real property '7rithin said district according to
the benefits received; and
"'!,BRAS, said benefits received by each and every block, lot,
parcel and other subdivision of real property situated within said
district equals or exceeds the local assessment thereon; and
7BEREAS, the estimated cost of said improvement is $34,058.00
THE r?EFORE, IT I "> NOW ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TIf CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, A_RK,'INSAS :
SECTION 1: That the said several blocks, lots,parcels and other
subdivisions of real property within said Street Improvement District
No. 296 of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas be, and they are
hereby assessed according to the assessment list for said improve-
ment district as the same now remains in the office of the City Clerk
of Little Rock and as the same may be annually readjusted by the Board

of Assessors, and that 'ten per centum (105o) of said assessment of
the value of the benefits on each of said blocks, lots, parcels
and other subdivisions of land shall be paid annually on or before
the lst day of March of each year until the ahole of said assessment
shall have been paid. The first annual payment shall be made on or
before the 1st day of March, 1923,
S=CTION 2: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in con-
flict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall be in
full force and effect from and after its passage..
