7JEREAS, more than ten owners of real property within that
portion of Little Hock, Pulaski County, Arkansas, hereinafter des-
cribed, have petitioned the City council to take steps toward mak-
ing of local improvements therein by forming the territory herein -
after described into an improvement district for the purposes here-
inafter set out:
THERErIORE, BE IT UxDAIIM BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TIE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK:
Section 1: That said street Improvement ?District No, 344
of the City of Little rock be, and the same is hereby created and
established for the purpose of paving in such manner and with such
materials as the commissioners of said district shall determine to
be for the best interests of the district, the following street:
`lest 23rd Street from the west property line of main
Street to the east property line of Ringo street, except
that portion of said street lying between a line two
feet north of the north rail and a line two feet south
of the south rail of the track or tracks of the Little
Rock railway & Electric Company, which said Company,
under the terms of its franchise, is obligated to pave
and maintain,
in the City of Little 1�ock,
the Lieneral Assembly of the
Regulate Local Improvements
March 22, 1881, and amendme
said district shall include
Arkansas, in accordance with an act of
Mate of Arkansas entitled "An Act to
in Cities of the r,irst Class ", approved
nits thereto: That the boundaries of
the following property:
All that real property lying within 150 feet north of
the north property line and all that real property
lying within 150 feet south of the south property
line of West 23rd "treet from the west property line
of ;Plain Street to the east property line of Hingo
Street.

Section 2: That all ordinances and parts 02 ordinances in
conflict nerewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall
take effect and be in force from and after its passage, and the
City Clerk is hereby ordered within twenty days from the date
of its passage to publish the sane in some newspaper published
in the City of Little -lock for one insertion.
