4 OF HEARING ON THE PETITION TO ABANDON THE ONE
5 BLOCK SECTION OF THE 60- FOOT -WIDE GAINES STREET
6 RIGHT -OF -WAY BETWEEN WEST 4TH STREET AND
7 CAPITOL AVENUE, IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK AS A
8 PUBLIC RIGHT -OF -WAY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

WHEREAS, a petition has been filed with the City Clerk requesting that the
Board of Directors vacate and abandon, pursuant to its general police power authority
under Ark. Code Ann. §14-54 -104, the one block section of the 60- foot -wide Gaines
Street right -of -way between West 4th Street and Capitol Avenue, in the City of Little
Rock.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The hearing on the ordinance to abandon the above - mentioned
right -of -way shall be held at a meeting of the Board of Directors of the City of Little
Rock in the Board Room of City Hall at six o'clock on the 7th day of December, 2004.
Section 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice of such hearing in
the manner prescribed by law by publication once a week for two consecutive weeks in
a newspaper published in Pulaski County, Arkansas, and having a general circulation
in the City of Little Rock.
