AN ORDINANCE ,ASSESSING THS VALU A OF BENEFITS
TO BE RECEIVED BY THE OWNERS OF EACH OF THE
SEVER_9L BLOCKS, LOTS, PARCELS AND OTHER SUB-
DIVISIONS OF LAND "THIN STREET IMPROVEMENT
DISTRICT NO. 344 ®F' THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARK ANS AS.
WHEREAS, a majority in value of the property owners
owning property adjoining the locality to be affected and sit-
uated within Street Improvement District No. 344 of the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas, organized for the purpose of making
local improvements therein by paving in such manner and with
such materials as the commissioners of said district shall de-
termine to be for the best interests of the district, the street
set out in their petition, having petitioned the City Council of
Little Hock for the construction of the improvement and that the
cost thereof shall be assessed upon the real property within said
district according to the benefits received; and
WHEREAS, said benefits received by each and every block,
lot, parcel and other subdivision of real property situated with-
in said district equals or exceeds the local assessment thereon;
and
WHEREAS, the estimated cost of said improvement is
26,915.79;
THEREFORE, IT IS NOW ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
TIM CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1: That the several blocks, lots, parcels and
other subdivisions of real property within said Street Improvement
District No. 344 be, and they are hereby assessed according to the
assessment list for said improvement district as the same now re-
mains in the office of the City Clerk in the City of Little Rock,
and as the same may be annually readjusted by the Board of
Assessors, and that eight and one -third per centum (8 -1/3 %)
of said assessment of the value, of the benefits on each of
said blocks, lots, parcels and other subdivisions of land
shall be paid annually on or before the 1st day of August
of each year until the whole of said assessment shall have
been paid. The first annual pptyment shall be made on or
before the 1st day of August, 1923.
SECTION 2: That all ordinances or parts of ordi-
nances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this
ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage.
