AN CIDINANCE AMENDING VDINANCE NUMBERED 2588 80 AS TO CHANGE THE
AMOUNT OF LICENSE'. TAK, AND THE 1ANNER OF PAYING SAME, PR70RIBED
FOR WATER WORKS COMPANIES CARRYING ON THE BUSINESS OF OUPPLYING
WATER FOR PUBLIC AND DOIaESTIC PURPOSES, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY TH: CITY COUNCIL OF THB CI`T'Y OF LITTLE ROCK
SECTION 1. That the paragraph of ordinance 2588 prescrib
ing the license to be paid by Water Works Companies carrying on the
business of supplying water for public and domestic purposes, be,
and the same is hereby amender so as to read as follows; ",later
Works Companies, or Water otilities Corporations, for the carrying
on the busisss of supplying water for public and domestic pur-
poses, shall pay the sum of $1,000.00 monthly, payable on or before
the 20th day of the month following the month for which the tax is
;;due, ana the said tax becomes effective September, 1923.
1 NECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect from and
after its passage.
